It was a typical evening, you sat in the living room, waiting for your father to return, you didn't know when he would come back because when you woke up he was already gone…he never woke up before you…NEVER! And that worried you.
So as I was saying, you were sitting in the living room, playing with your (h/l) (h/c) hair on the floor, all your friends were probably busy with their homework, it was quite strange that you had friends that were older then you, it was a little too early for you to go to school, but your father mentioned that he was going to home tutor you, uncle Matthew didn't seem to glad about that, and you had to agree with him, It was kinda bothering you that your father, the one who didn't even make anything for you before he left was going to be teaching you…whatever they teach at those schools.
You sigh and looked at the window, you were too small to reach it so you stayed where you were, oh great, you were hungrier than a wolf who hasn't eaten for a week, your father was nowhere to be seen, and now it was getting dark! You never liked being home alone, usually uncle Matthew or Mr. Arthur stayed with you but you haven't heard from them for a while. Suddenly music snapped you back to reality, you looked around and stood up, then started running around the house, looking for the source of the noise, the song seemed familiar:
~Can we pretend that airplanes
In the night sky are like shooting stars?
I could really use a wish right now
Wish right now, wish right now
Can we pretend that airplanes
In the night sky are like shooting stars?
I could really use a wish right now
Wish right now, wish right now~
You finally walked up to your father's room and somehow managed to push the giant door open, you ran inside and climbed onto the bed to grab the phone that laid on the table, the song kept on playing, you narrowed your eyes and put your small finger on the screen, suddenly the song stopped and somebody started talking.
"hello? Alfred?"
"mm! _____!" you corrected quickly and waited.
"____! Where's your father, I need to talk to him right now!" ah, it was Mr. Arthur.
"I dunno" you mumbled and blinked a couple of time "Daddy left from the morning"
"and he didn't tell you where he was going? Why didn't you call anyone?!"
Ah give me a break! You were only a 3 year old child! Not some kind of a superhero!
You were about to say something but the phone slipped out from your grip and fell onto the floor, you yelped and tried catching it, but fell after it, landing straight on your face, any other time you wouldn't cry, but now, your daddy wasn't there to hold you and call you silly, he wasn't…nobody was…You sat up and started crying loudly.
"___?! _____?!" Arthur was still on the phone but you were too busy to answer him, you started crying even louder when you heard your own voice echo through the whole building.
"Arthur, what's going on?" came the voice from the phone "who are you talking to?"
You tried to stay calm but the darkness around you made you even more scared, you crawled over to the phone and started crying into it "Mr. Arthur! Mr. Arthur!" you said with a cracked voice "I'm scared, I want my daddy!" that's when you heard a crash on the other line and became quiet to at least hear what was happening.
"Alfred! How could you leave your daughter alone?!" growled Arthur, then you heard some weird sounds and a crack, you removed the phone away from your face and held it against your face.
"____! Honey it's me!" your eyes widen.
"Daddy!" you shouted, more tears sliding down your cheeks "come home daddy!"
"____, don't cry okay, I'll be there soon, just don't cry okay?" you nodded, not knowing that he couldn't see you. "remember what I told you when you had nightmares?"
"to sing the happy song?" you whimpered
"yes, sing the happiest song you know, and when you'll finish I'll be already there" you gulped and started singing quietly.
"C-can we p-pretend that airplanes
In the night sky are l-like shooting st-stars?
I could really use a-a w-wish right n-now
Wish r-right now, wish right n-now"
You didn't know the entire song, so you kept singing the chorus over and over again, until you heard a click downstairs, you father ran into the room seconds later and wrapped his arms around you, you started crying again, clenching onto his shirt tight, afraid that he might suddenly leave again.
"silly, what are you crying about, the hero's here" you smiled and calmed down a bit, well until your stomach suddenly decided to become a dying whale. You heard your father laugh a bit "didn't you eat the sandwiches I left in your room?" you blinked in confusion…so those were real huh?
"no…." you whispered, Alfred sighed and picked you up "come on, let's make you new ones, those probably aren't eatable anymore. FINALLY!
"daddy?" you asked after Alfred finally settled down beside you in his bed.
"yes?"
"why didn't you tell me where you were going?"
There was a long silent pause and that made you feel terribly uncomfortable.
"but I did tell you" since when did you become the queen of the universe?!
"no, you just left!"
"this morning I woke you up, told you that I was gonna be late because of work and told you that I left you sandwiches on the table, you even watched me leave!" …does everyone think that you're a superhero or something?!
You sighed and closed your eyes, curling up closer to your father's body to keep warm, you suspected that tomorrow was going to be the same!

You always saw your big brother, Alfred, as the Prince Charming type. In reality, he was a hamburger-eating athlete, but you didn't know that. No, that's another story.
Alfred cared for you every night when both of your parents were at work. You weren't in poverty, but your parents tried their hardest to get you and your brother vital things in order to survive. Life wasn't easy with parents weaving in and out of your lives, bu

America x Child! Reader (one shot)
You awoke one summer day in a hot, murky forest. Bugs were flying every where when you sat up, and you felt revolted to know they had been on you while you slept. Tears brimming in your (e/c) eyes, you looked around anxiously for someone, anyone, but there was no one.
And you couldn't even remember your own name.
Gathering your wits, you clambered up on your small feet, wincing at the flash of pain from the twigs and rocks your feet endured.
'It could be worse!' you reminded yourself as you began to walk past tree after tree, noticing how each one looked like large, imposing figures to your small stature. It was almos
