You sat alone in a clear field, it was a normal spring evening, you were listening to a beautiful song that played quietly on your phone, you weren't able to find your headphones so you just took your phone and went outside.
The sun was setting, it was beautiful…probably…

One of the strangest things happened to you about two days ago:

You woke up because of the warm sunlight on your face, you tried opening your eyes, still everything was black, but in a while you realized that your eyes were wide open…and you could no longer see the light…but you didn't panic, you just started thinking how to tell your coworker and your best friend, Alfred F. Jones…you even stared imagining the scenes, and you didn't like it.

Maybe I'll move back to my parents' house? You usually though, they would be glad to see you again, but you had no idea how to tell them easer.

"hey_____~" you opened your eyes when you heard the familiar loud voice, Alfred came to visit…

"Hello Alfred" you said calmly, closing your dull eyes once again.

"Why didn't you come to work? We're all worried ya know," you could hear the ruffling of his bomber jacket as he took it off and put it over your shoulders, you smiled.

"Sorry, I wasn't feeling well" he sat down beside you, you could easily tell.

There was a long, calming silence and you felt like you were still asleep, but that dream soon turned into a nightmare

"I know you're lying, I was inside your house, what happened" he demanded in a harsh tone that made you flinch

"I-" you opened your eyes and were about to finish the sentence when the song came to a part where it said:

"~Darkness, darkness everywhere~" you suddenly regretted listening to that song, instead of crying like everybody would do you just smiled and turned your head towards him, your once beautiful eyes half closed.

"Darkness, darkness everywhere" you repeated with a sweet smile.

One again the silence came, you though that he may have left you, you smile slowly disappeared and you reached your hand out, you soon felt something brush against your fingers, he was still there!

"You mean you….can't"

"Yes Alfred, I can no longer see" he took your hand.

"Why didn't you call me, did you tell anybody else?" he was panicking, you could tell "Did you go to the hospital?"

You put your free hand on his head, ruffling his blond hair a bit "Alfred, what happened can't be changed anymore" you said calmly.

"How can you be so fucking calm?!" he yelled, you flinched a bit but didn't let go of his hand.

"Alfred" you said stroking his hair "because I'm not scared, I was glad to see the light, but there is time when something has to end" you could hear his shaky breath, his hands were shaking as well, you crawled closer and hugged him.

"Why are you so scared when I should be like that" you whispered, hugging him tighter.
"If you won't be able to see, you won't be able to come to work, you might even move away from me" you giggled.

"How will I be able to move away if I can't see silly"

"Your parents" you lifted your head from his shoulder, he was right, they will able to take you away now.

Later Alfred took you inside, saying that we was going to spend the night there, you didn't object, you liked his company.

Right now you laid in your bed, eyes open wide, you were humming the song you were listening to earlier.

"My~ my~ you know, it's night right now" You blink and smile.

"I thought you wouldn't show up anymore" you said happily and sat up, you felt a cold hand on your cheek and put your warm one on it.

"Don't you think it's time you went to sleep" the person whispered, he had a calm voice and that made you feel tired.

"But if I fall asleep, what will he do?" she whispered, slowly closing your eyes.

"He'll be fine, don't worry" the person said and kissed your forehead, you smiled and fell back onto the bed, falling into a deep, endless sleep.
